TACTICAL TRAINING
BASIC TACTICS
Our Basic Tactics course covers the first steps in tactical movements, door entries, room clearing, position of advantage (POA), cover and concealment, target identification and basic rules of engagement. This course is for the average civilian wanting to safely clear their home or engage a threat that has entered their home, the new officer wanting to learn ways of clearing residents and commercial structures, and staying vigilant during calls in open or confined areas, and the tactical team in need of basic foundational training.
ADVANCED TACTICS
Our Advance Tactics course covers more high speed tactical movements, target engagements, shooting while moving, team movements, multiple target engagements, high risk entries, vehicle and bus assaults/rescues, high risk vehicle stops, protective security details/executive training, ACTIVE SHOOTER RESPONSE and SURVIVAL.
In this course, students will learn to work as individuals as well as members of a team. Students will conduct practical training in separate Protective Security Detail (PSD) roles to ensure each graduate has a full understanding of each aspect of protecting an individual. Training days are normally eight to ten hours, with planning and briefing preparation extending into the late evening hours. This course course meets and exceeds the training requirements under DCJS to obtain your registration as a Personal Protection Specialist. Individuals that need to attend an Armed PPS course or expand their hard skill sets can sign-up for the Virginia DCJS Entry-Level (07E) and Advanced (09E) Handgun as well as our Shotgun (08E) and Patrol Rifle (10E) directly after the PPS course. Each student that successfully completes our PPS course will receive a certificate of completion.
